Notes to Applicants - Read before Applying or be Denied
Some things to consider when filling out your application.
1. I got mad gearscore, yo!
Please don't use gearscore even once in your application. Its an arbitrary number assigned based on your gear iLvl, not on whether the gear is any good for you. Any score system that lets you wear spirit healer gear to boost your score as a holy pally is inherently flawed. Use tangible numbers like avoidance ratings, heal/mana pool, crit/haste/hit/unbuffed AP scores to give us a better idea if you feel the need to let us know your current numbers.
2. I'll only alter my spec if I stay X spec and nothing you can say will make me go Y spec.
Be reasonable here. If you expect any guild to progress through raiding without anyone filling in other roles or even specing 2 points to the left to grab a buff/debuff that someone else who didn't show provides I'd have to call you a bit naive. If I'm recruiting a frost dps DK it means I want a frost dps DK but if Unholy is undeniably better for the raid for specific fights then I'd think it'd be reasonable to get that person to switch. We also don't typically want raiders to switch roles constantly (ie dps going heals) but sometimes its required for us to even attempt a boss.
3. [insert long list of pvp achievements]
This is a PVE raiding guild, we do have a fair amount of ppl that do PVP however your "almost" Glad title in 2v2 from 4 seasons ago really does nothing to highlight how useful you are to us in a PVE setting. Most PVPers we've recruited based on those merits have ended up being serious ADHD cases with the inability to perform even the simplest task. Not saying thats you but understand we want PVE raiders not someone whos going to skip out on raids to try and boost their 3s team 50 pts.
4. "I don't know the answer to this question"
If you don't understand how the question is worded then just ask for clarification. If you don't know the answer because you've never done the fight then this is a really good time to mention that you've "never done it but have read that it is done like this". There is a good reason we ask what do you do when you are going against a boss you've never fought before and then ask questions as to what do you do when fighting bosses you more than likely never fought.
